    Emotional Reactions to Pain

Ines Freedman, an insight meditation teacher at the Insight Meditation Center and Insight Retreat Center who is known for her work bringing meditation to people living with chronic pain, leads this guided body scan meditation on emotional reactions to pain (just over 25 minutes). It brings awareness to certain pains and to the emotions that arise with them. Mindfulness may change how some people relate to pain, and experiences vary. This practice complements medical care for pain; it does not replace it.
