ABOUT

Mindfulness Exercises

Mindfulness Exercises is an online platform which shares free and premium mindfulness resources for mindfulness practitioners and mindfulness meditation teachers alike.

We were founded by Sean Fargo in 2014 with the intention to help people live with embodied presence, compassion and resilience

Practicing mindfulness allows us to relate to ourselves and others with greater care and wisdom. As we engage with our world differently, we notice our own experience of life shifting in fulfilling ways.

Over 6 million people have benefited from the free and premium resources on our site, including downloadable meditations, guided meditation scripts, mindfulness worksheets, courses, content and live online retreats. By 2023, we hope to have shared mindfulness with over 20 million people in the following ways:

  • By supporting individuals in their pursuit of a consistent and meaningful mindfulness practice.
  • By training and resourcing mindfulness and meditation teachers to skillfully and compassionately share mindfulness with others.
  • By bringing mindfulness to organizations to inspire more conscious business practices.

Our Values

Generosity is our primary practice. We offer over 2,000 FREE online resources to support individuals, teachers and organizations - and add more free content every day.

Compassion is empathy in action. Mindfulness has the power to free us from our pain, for a life of happiness and ease - and it’s our wish that all beings everywhere realize this potential.

Community is our reason for being. We exist because of you, and we’re here for you. Together, we’ll create the world we long to live in.

Why Mindfulness Exercises?

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Sean Fargo founded Mindfulness Exercises with the goal of offering simple tools that could help people meet their struggles, pain, and challenges with more ease.

After deeply immersing himself in mindfulness practice as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, Sean noticed a shift in the way he related to himself and others. He felt called to use his experience to help others, and chose to shed his robes and return to the US.

At Spirit Rock Meditation Center, he worked alongside mindfulness pioneers such as Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Joseph Goldstein and Sharon Salzberg.

Sean has taught mindfulness and meditation for corporations including Tesla, Kaiser Permanente, Facebook, Ernst & Young, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and for health and government organizations, prisons, and hospitals around the world.

As a father and a husband, Sean understands how hard it can be to remain fully present in the seemingly ordinary moments of daily life. But also, he has experienced first-hand the power of mindfulness to transform those ordinary moments into experiences of total joy, gratitude and awe.

Sean has dedicated himself to teaching mindfulness in a way that’s simple, clear, and practical. Mindfulness Exercises teaches mindfulness not as conceptual, but as a practice that we can all apply in our day-to-day lives.

Rick Hanson

“Sean is the absolute gold standard for mindfulness training and coaching. He’s been trained as a monk in the traditional teachings and methods of the Buddha, and he’s also worked in corporate settings while raising a family. In other words, he has tremendous depth and breadth. He is also very very kind, with bone-deep integrity, excellent communication and teaching skills, inclusive open-minded awareness, and a sweetly supportive manner. He really is the best, and I recommend him wholeheartedly.”

Dr. Rick Hanson, New York Times Bestselling Author of Resilience And Hardwiring Happiness
