    A note from Sean

Try this today. Tonight, take a slow breath and feel your belly. Ask: what did I want to do today, at home, at work, and with myself (question 1)? List two or three. Next to each, write whether you did it, and if not, what got in the way. Keep each answer to one honest line. Notice whether your chest softens or tightens as you write. Do this for a few days, then look for the pattern (question 4).

Keep going: Is it Selfish to Want Happiness? and Identifying Personal Values.

This suits anyone who tends to put themselves last. If wanting something brings up guilt or sadness, go gently. Stop when you need to.
