If your body could speak, what would it say? The truth is, it already communicates, through subtle sensations, tension, energy shifts, symptoms, and even pain. The real challenge lies in learning to listen and understanding what it is trying to tell you. For much of my life, I ignored my body’s messages, lost in the noise of my mind, my thoughts, worries, goals, and memories. Through mindfulness and cultivating body awareness, I’ve discovered the profound wisdom held within. By paying attention with curiosity and care, we can learn to respond with compassion, insight, and balance in every moment.

For much of my life, I ignored the messages of my body, caught up in the noise of my mind — my thoughts, my worries, my goals, my past. But mindfulness and body awareness have taught me that there’s incredible wisdom within.

That’s why I’m excited to share this podcast episode:

Inna Segal on Healing Through The Secret Language of Your Body

👉 Listen here on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

Inna Segal is the bestselling author of The Secret Language of Your Body, a book that has helped countless people unlock the body’s innate wisdom to heal physically, emotionally, and energetically. Our conversation left me inspired by the profound healing practices that are available to all of us — practices that many people haven’t yet discovered.

3 Ways to Start Learning Your Body’s Language

Here are three simple practices, drawn from Inna’s teachings, to begin tuning into your body with presence and compassion:

1. Try a Simple “Body Tuning” Practice

  • Sit or lie down comfortably.
  • Count backward from 30 with slow, deep breaths.
  • Place your hands on an area that feels tense or “off.”
  • Imagine breathing green light into that spot.
  • Gently ask: “Is there a message you want to give me?” Stay open to any thoughts, feelings, images, or memories that arise — without judgment

2. Use Color as a Healing Tool

Colors carry powerful energetic qualities:

  • Blue – Calms the mind and soothes the nervous system.
  • Green – Balances and supports healing.
  • Orange – Brings vitality and creativity.

Rub your hands together, visualize the color, and imagine “breathing” it into an area that needs care.

3. Work with the “CLEAR” Process

When you notice tension or discomfort, try saying:

“Divine Healing Intelligence, please release all density, pain, stress, and limitation from my body, as well as all points of view and patterns that contribute to this condition.”

Then repeat the word CLEAR several times while imagining a broom sweeping away old energy.

Why Listening to the Body Matters

Mindfulness isn’t just about calming the mind. It’s about cultivating presence with the whole self. When we bring awareness and compassion to the body, every ache, every tight muscle, and every surge of energy becomes an opportunity for healing and transformation. Instead of pushing pain away, we can learn to listen — and in doing so, discover the body’s secret language. To go deeper, I highly recommend reading The Secret Language of Your Body by Inna Segal and practicing the guided exercises inside.

May this inspire you to meet your body’s messages with curiosity, kindness, and courage.
