This is Part 3 of Oren Sofer’s six-part series on mindfulness and pain: Cultivating Wisdom. In this talk, Sofer says that to understand suffering, we need to listen to it and look at it from a different view. Mindfulness may change how some people relate to pain, and experiences vary. This practice complements medical care for pain; it does not replace it.
Oren Jay Sofer is a meditation teacher and author whose work bridges contemplative practice and mindful communication.
