A note from Sean
I don’t recommend the death meditation to people who are brand new to mindfulness. It has shaped big decisions in my life for the better. I am not saying life sucks and then we die. I mean the opposite: life is beautiful and precious when we really connect with it.
Try this today. Choose one ordinary thing: a sip of tea, a sound, a feeling in your body. Watch it arise, last a while, and pass, as the worksheet describes. Then ask, if this were the last one, how would I savor it? If you have some practice, try the worksheet’s meditation on another day.

This suits people with some practice. If you are grieving, facing illness, or afraid of death right now, go gently, or leave the death meditation for another day. Stop when you need to.
