A note from Sean
Our energy is finite. What can I do without losing myself or overextending? That line moves from day to day. Sometimes we have a lot of bandwidth and sometimes we don’t. Practice can show us when it is time to rest.
Try this today. Take ten minutes. Write down what your life takes in a typical week: money, hours for work, family, meals, and upkeep, and emotional energy. Beside it, list the strengths and people you can count on. Circle one place where the two don’t match, and name one small change.
Keep going: Identifying Strengths and A Meditation For Self-Care And Caring For Others.
This suits a season of change, a new job, or a feeling of running on empty. Adding up money and time can stir worry. If it does, take one question at a time and go gently. If stress or low mood is heavy or lasting, this complements a counselor or doctor and does not replace one. Stop when you need to.
