A note from Sean
In my experience, gratitude often shows up on its own when we are really present and have softened our grip on control. This worksheet starts with whatever is actually here, and lets gratitude come when it comes.
Try this today. Ask yourself, “What’s eclipsing my gratitude?” Answer with feelings, not stories: “I’m feeling lonely.” Pick one and find where it sits in your body, maybe your chest, throat, or stomach. Look at it for a minute with curiosity, the way you would look at a painting. Then see whether a small space opens for gratitude.

This suits anyone who finds “count your blessings” hard to hear. If the feeling is too big, or tied to grief or trauma, go gently. Stay near the edge of it, or feel your feet instead. Stop when you need to.
