    A note from Sean

This isn’t about us. We’re not here to fix anyone or convince anyone of anything. We offer a few things that may be helpful. I try to stand alongside people rather than in front of them, so when I ask a group to sense into the belly, I do it too.

Try this today. Before your next class or session, take three slow breaths and bring to mind one teacher who treated you as an equal. Feel where that gratitude sits in your body. Then, as you guide, do the step you are asking of the group, and notice any pull toward fixing. When it comes, come back to your breath.

Keep going: Awareness of Your Problem Without Fixing It and Nurturing Yourself While Serving Others.

This suits mindfulness teachers and anyone in a helping role. If you are carrying burnout or a hard season with students, go gently. Stop when you need to.
