This is Part 1 of 4 in Ines Freedman’s series on working with pain in meditation and daily life. Ines is an insight meditation teacher at the Insight Meditation Center and Insight Retreat Center who is known for her work bringing meditation to people living with chronic pain. Mindfulness may change how some people relate to pain, and experiences vary. This practice complements medical care for pain; it does not replace it.

The other parts of the series: Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4.
