Sean Fargo leads a guided loving-kindness meditation. It is a practice of offering kind wishes from the heart and extending them outward to everyone you know.
A note from Sean
When I practice loving-kindness, I start with a benefactor, someone who is easy to care for. Then I go in baby steps: a good friend, a neighbor, someone I barely know, and eventually someone difficult. We don’t want to start with our nemesis.
Try this today. Bring to mind one person who is easy to care for. Silently offer a few wishes in words you actually feel, such as safe, healthy, happy, at ease. Notice what happens in your chest. Then offer the same wishes to someone you barely know.

This suits anyone with a little practice who wants to widen their circle of care. If kind wishes feel hollow, or bring up grief or old hurt, go gently. Stay with the easy person. Stop when you need to.
