Gil Fronsdal talks about In the Flow. A river flows continuously, as do our life, thoughts, impressions, and breath. Being in the present moment is to flow.

    A note from Sean

There’s a wonderful peace that can come as we sit by the river of experience. We’re not fighting the waves or building a raft. We can just notice what’s moving by.

Try this today. Pick a moment when you are waiting, like a kettle heating or a red light. Instead of filling it, feel your breath and notice what is moving: sounds, sensations, thoughts. Let each one pass without adding to it. One minute is enough.

Keep going: Being Present for Whatever Arises and Accepting This Present Moment As It Is.

This suits anyone who feels hurried or hard on themselves. If your thoughts turn heavy, go gently. Stop when you need to.
