Seeing Yourself Through Loving Eyes is a visualization practice. You call to mind someone who loves you (or a loving pet), imagine sitting with them, and consider how they see you. The worksheet ends with a short reflection on what it was like and how you might bring the practice into daily life.

The exercise was inspired by the work of James Baraz in his book Awakening Joy. Seeing yourself with love can feel unfamiliar and may bring up resistance. The worksheet suggests acknowledging it with patience and compassion, and moving at your own pace.
