Anam Thubten, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher and founder of the Dharmata Foundation, speaks in this talk about our longing for self-discovery and how awakening our consciousness reveals our original face.
A note from Sean
When I guide open awareness, I often say, “Nothing else to do. No one to be.” Just being here, awake and aware. As the sit closes I like to remind us that this moment is enough, presence is enough, and we are enough.
Try this today. Pause for a minute, three times today. Ask, “Right now, what am I aware of?” Notice a sound, your feet, a thought passing through, and let each one come and go without choosing any of them to be you.

This suits anyone curious about who they are beneath their roles. If questions about the self leave you anxious or numb, go gently and feel your feet on the ground. Stop when you need to.
