Gil Fronsdal talks about How To Be Amazed. There are so many things to be amazed by in nature: the cosmos, the mind, consciousness, events.
A note from Sean
Soon after I left the monastery, a friend took me to a museum in San Francisco. I was marveling at everything, wide-eyed, and she said watching me felt like being on drugs. It all seemed brand new. That wonder faded week after week as I practiced less. So we remind ourselves: this moment is brand new.
Try this today. Go outside, or to a window, and look up for a full minute. Sky, clouds, branches, whatever is there. Let your eyes soften and widen. Notice what happens in your chest and belly when something is bigger than you.

This talk suits anyone feeling flat or stuck in routine. If wonder feels out of reach because of grief or heaviness, go gently. Let a small curiosity be enough, and stop when you need to.
