A talk by Wes Nisker on evolutionary wisdom. Where am I going? Where did I come from? Who am I? Wes says the story of evolution is full of awe and wonder.

    A note from Sean

In one practice I guide, I invite people to remember that our universe has been expanding since the Big Bang, and that time is expanding with it. Each moment is brand new, something we have never been in before. We can meet it with a sense of awe and wonder.

Try this today. Step outside for two minutes. Look at something old: a tree, a stone, the sky. Feel your feet and your breath. Then notice one thing about this exact moment you have never experienced before, such as the light, the air on your skin, or a sound. Let a little wonder be there.

Keep going: How to Practice Mindfulness in Nature and Impermanence Meditation.

This suits anyone who feels busy or small and wants some perspective. If the big questions about where we come from and where we are going stir up fear or sadness, go gently. Stop when you need to.
