Mindfulness invites us to observe this present moment just as it is. We practice leaving judgment behind and instead, witness what arises with a spacious sense of openness and allowance. Everything and everything in our field of awareness is welcome. By observing from a grounded, centered and equanimous point of view, we invite insights on the true nature of our mind to arise.

In this episode, Mindfulness Exercises founder, Sean Fargo, leads us in a meditation on sensing into this present moment, just as it is. Sean begins by inviting us to connect to our bodies and the support of the ground below us. We then turn our attention to the breath and observe what unfolds. Listen in a quiet place where you can be relatively free from distraction, and connect to the profound quality of presence.

Speaker 1 · 0:01Welcome to the Mindfulness Exercises Podcast. In this episode, we bring you a guided meditation to add to your personal practice. So please find a quiet place where you can be free from distraction. Let's begin.

Speaker 2 · 0:24Let's find a posture that feels relaxed and alert. Feeling balanced in the body. Up to down. Seeing if we can center the body. Gently closing the eyes. Noticing those sensations in the bottoms of the feet. Sensing into what the body is touching under the seat legs. Exhale. Pause between the exhale and the inhale. Sensing into the rhythm. The depth of breathing in our bellies, diaphragm, chest. Like that. Your belly button. Slowly opening the eyes whenever you're ready.

Speaker 1 · 18:16Notice what's changed in your body and mind. Notice especially any benefits you've received. What might it feel like to carry these benefits into the rest of your day? Consistent daily practice will help us hold on to the benefits of meditation for longer. Between each formal session for an in-depth exploration of this technique, including helpful text for teachers. Listen to the next episode.
