Elizabeth Gilbert reflects on spiritual enlightenment & her own spiritual journey. She recognizes the privilege that she had to be able to go on an actual journey. But, she says, spiritual self-discovery doesn't have to happen through travel. It is not confined to the rich who are able to afford such a journey. In our own ways, and through our own means, we can use meditation, contemplation, self-transformation as tools. Questions of divinity are everywhere, and these transformations have been known to happen all over; in traffic jams, at the office, even in refugee camps.

Elizabeth Gilbert is an author, best know for her memoir, Eat, Pray Love. This book has since then been made into a film starring Julia Roberts. It chronicles her spiritual journey throughout the world after her divorce and reflects on what she discovered along the way.
